Fluke scopemeter 105B Screen repair
« on: August 19, 2023, 11:09:49 am »
Both polarization films of such a device have burned to the ground and I am in the process of renewing them. The old films have been removed and the cleaned glass surfaces are waiting for new films. But but.. What kind of films would fit this screen? I have tried normal linear films, but the screen is not black and white like the originals. It is either blue or orange in color. I examined the former films and noticed in both films an "extra" thin (0.05mm) and clear film glued to the side of the LCD glass. I was able to cut a small piece of this film and transferred it to a normal linear polarization film, so that in that area the screen appears correctly in black and white. What can this mysterious film be? Does anyone have experience with changing the polarization films of such a device and what kind of film did you use and where did you buy it? I would be grateful if someone could kindly help me.
