Freestyle 5 Oxygen Machine Repair
« on: April 03, 2021, 01:31:34 am »
How do I fix a Freestyle 5 oxygen machine?

I have tried to use a variable power supply to power it on, but it doesn't work. I am guessing that it needs some sort of voltage signal from the battery balance leads, but I am not sure what.

I tried connecting the switch pin to gnd and 5v, but neither worked. I used 16V to power it, which is the correct voltage. I have rebuilt the battery pack, but it wasn’t working after I did, even though the batteries and connections are good.

Here is a google photos link to the oxygen machine:

This manual does not have any circuit diagrams of the machine. It just says to replace parts, which are very expensive and I already rebuilt the battery pack.

Was it working before the battery failed? It could be difficult to fix it if there's actually something wrong with it. You may have to reverse engineer it enough to understand how the circuit works.

It was sort of working, but the battery was causing the machine to malfunction and only work for maybe 10 -30 minutes.

I managed to fix the issue by connecting and disconnecting the charger. I guess it is some battery switch for charging and maybe for protection.

Probably had to reset the battery management. I had assumed you had already tried that.
