fridge thermostat replacement

Hi all,ive a logik fridge model LUL50s13 feidge with a buggered thermostat,the old one has 3 terminals,the new one has just two,can it be made to work with the 2 wire instead of 3?,cheers in advance.

one of them looks like a ground of the thermostat case.

Yes you can ignore than third wire, it's just the ground. There are only two wires going to the thermostat in that diagram that carry current.

hi,
be careful and 'ignore' the ground connector, identify this one with a multimeter, if you gonna plug the new thermostat between L and Earth you gonna trip the breaker
don't trust the colours

might be the original stat has 3 connections,plus earth, were 2 of the connections are commoned. power in goes to 1 of these terminals  and the second connection is the internal light via a switch
