I have a GE Clock / Phone Combo, model 7-4719A purchased new, which has a working digital clock and phone, but the radio is not working, no sound. I requested a service manual and schematic from Rick, StereoManuals.com, but I have not received a reply. Any suggestions on obtaining a service manual / schematic or repair ideas would be appreciated. Thanks!

GE was bought out by Black and Decker many years ago.  Try contacting them.

SAMS offers one for $23, some libraries have a digital subscription but it looks like they offer that one as hardcopy only, first time I've seen that, low demand I guess.

No sound at all, or just very low volume? Probable failure is a small electrolytic capacitor coming off the volume control, feeding into the audio amplifier, they dry out and stop passing signal. But you really need to get in there, trace out the audio circuit and start testing parts or see where the signal stops with a scope or amplified speaker to be sure.

A trick(cheat?) I use for audio circuits is to use a Fluke Networks Pro 3000 or similar non contact probe to trace the audio( https://www.fluke.com/en-us/product/network-cable-testers/copper/pro3000probe ) Wave it over the circuit to locate the area where audio stops and investigate deeper. It has saved me more time than I can measure. If you don't have a similar probe, ask a computer or network buddy. Good luck.
