GENUINE Ramtron FRAM chip

Hi All,

I'm looking for a GENUINE Ramtron FM1608-120-P (DIP package) FRAM chip for my scope, preferably new or with low write/read cycles. Had an exhaustive look round so far to no avail... anyone know where I might source one from ?

How about Cypress FM16W08 on a breakout board?

Does it have to be the exact same make/model? I mean it's parallel, as long as timing is right the host won't know the difference.

Just for kicks I looked on Ebay. Looks like every one in the DIP configuration is from china so most likely fake bullshit garbage!!! Not one looked like a reputable seller of real 'unused in original packaging' parts. Probably end up being an eeprom in disguise!! One seller even shows a generic picture with no part numbers.

Nothing wrong with an FM16W08, this is my plan B... just thought I'd try my luck with an FM1608 first.

And the very reason why I stated GENUINE, I simply don't entertain the Chinese a'hole feckers on the likes of eBay or Amazon... PERIOD !
