« on: March 01, 2022, 01:42:22 pm »
Hi all, ivejust got this:https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/224142076322 or at least one the same for spares, its built like a tank,i pluged it in and firstly a tant exploded followed by an mains rifa, the riffa's i just removed, the tant was across the remote sense terminals so cut that out too just for testing, now it seems to work ok,it puts out 5.01v,thing is i assume it is ok without the riffa caps,i will swap the tants for electrolytics as there is room, any idea what this would of been used for?,im not sure but i imagine its ok 40 40/50amps plus,i brought it just for the huge heatsink but seems to good too break!.TIA.

well i replaced the tants !)Uf at 25v with 47uf 50v electrolytics,not bothered with the riffas,found out it has 2x 17.5v max 8a each both adjustable and 2x 5v outputs 60A max,each is adjustable with 10 turn trimpots,should be a hany piece of kit,shame its a switcher,it weighs 14kg,its a beast!
