Hacking of old TDS640 and TDS540 FFT and RS232 Option
« on: November 09, 2019, 08:15:17 am »
Hello people

I have  a TDS640 ,  TDS520 and  TDS540 repaired.  TDS520 have  FFT Option (2F) and RS2327LTP Option (13), TDS540  FFT  Option.
My researching and info from  a forum have a  succesfully result.  This Hacking run only at old  TDS540 and their family without floppy Disk and RTC (real time clock).

Thanks to a people of Tek& Keithley Forum.

Preparing of Hacking is  desoldering of   NVSRAM  or  using tektool .
Adresse-counting is   NVSRAM itself.

Pleas see  Pictures,   green numbers ((adr: 0x01FDCF) is  CRC, it is only addition of all Value in this  string. But not more than  69.
yellow numbers ist  Option 13,   (adr: 0x01FDED)
red numbers ist  FFT Option  (adr: 0x01FDEF)
00 = disabled
01 = actived.

Both actived,  CRC = 69
one of both active,  CRC = 68

If you have more than both option actived, then must  "42" (adr: 0x01FDE3) changed to other (lower) value. Important: CRC Value cannot be more than 69.

1M Option, i don't know  where is it (01 at 42 is probably, but i don't guess)

Have a fun with hacking of old TDS540/640.
And excuse me  for my not fine english.

Regards
Matt
