I just bought a Hameg HM303-4 oscilloscope online and received it damaged in shipping. First, a component (AD 42830) popped out and was floating around inside. The pins were bent but restorable. I am looking for a replacement but have not seen one so I am thinking a substitute will be required. I need a substitute part number and source or a source for the AD 42830.
Second, both Voltage/Div switches are damaged. One is obviously broken right behind the knob. The other has no detent and just spins but does not come out so I can see if it has the same problem. I am thinking I will need new switches. Parts are available at Hameg USA in Maryland but I am concerned that it will be an enormous effort to R/R them. How much trouble is it to do that?
Here are remarks re Hameg USA by the seller of the above scope:
"A Representative from Rohde & Schwarz promptly contacted me on Monday morning regarding the parts.
You should be able to arrange to get the knobs or any other parts by sending and email to: Service.RSA@RSA.Rohde-Schwarz.com
