Hello, I don't think that the screen is the problem, the system is not responding at all, because basically the lights turns off after the boot, and just when I turn on the oscilloscope, the screen does have a kind of "flickering" that tells there is a voltage that has been applied, but it's turn of really fast after that, no response, I don't know because I red somewhere in the forum that some people faced the NAND issue, but at the same time, even the recovery with the SD Card not worked at all, I tried with instructions from the support ( I had to put a jumper somewhere on the board ) with the card inserted but nothing happens, I have no clue what's going on... For the scope, if it was doing it's job, it will be at least recognized by the PC, I when I click on autoset I should here a sound of the relay, which is not the case ( It shows unknown device even after installing the drivers ) UPDATE : just checked the voltages on the area of the screen, everything seems ok, and also checked all the connections, I don't know but maybe I have to desolder all electrolytic capacitors as Jwet suggested. I think I just lost a 250$ and a lot of waiting time :-DD |

Simo, If the unit is new or near new, its not the caps- don't bother. Work through Hantek Support is my best advice. |

Hi everyone, as this is my first post on this forum I want to thank you for accepting me and for the great support you're all giving. I have pretty much the same issue: my DSO5102P started to boot with a recovery screen about 1 year ago but then, after pressing F1 for reboting it was always starting. Now it's a week that I'm not able to boot it up anymore: it starts with the recovery menu but then the reboot or the recovery options are not working and I end up with a blank screen. By reading about this issue here and there I guess it may be an issue related with the corrupted NAND.... but I may be wrog. I wrote to Hantek support and waiting their feedback but, in the meatime would be great if Simo can send me the recovery files and the SD bruner - I assume I should use the internal SD slot right ? Thanks for your help. Max |

Hello, For my part there were no resolve yet, hantek support doesn’t answer yet after they sent me the recovery file. of course I can send you the recovery file and the burner, I’ll send it as soon as I am home. Hope that I will solve you the issue, for my end, I am losing hopes… I think I’ll buy a new oscilloscope, I found the Rigol dso914 or the siglent sds814x interesting I don’t know if they’re good or not… MAX, for the SD you have to use the SD slot in the board, after that you should set a jumper on p5, everything will be available on the instruction document. |

Thanks Simo, much appreciated. I noticed that the SD slot on the main board is mini-SD which is an adapter that I don't have and a pain in the backside to find... I'll figure out something. I have another scope (Tek DPO5104) which is great but considering the very long boot time (windows 2000) and the power consumption which is in the range of a water heater ;D I normally tent to use the Hantek for the quick stuff leaving the Tek for the complex things... Thanks, Max |
