Help Identify A Component
« on: December 23, 2023, 02:00:24 am »
The component I'm trying to identify is a 6-pin dip IC from a microwave oven control board. The board has a Motorola logo, and is marked 1979, 1475E01, 80C-F, and a few other minor markings.

Chip is 6 pin, with pins 1,2,4, and 6 connected. All 6 pins are present. It is marked as follows:

[Motorola logo]
 01S
   63
8026

I've had no luck with google. Knowing what it is would be helpful, as there are a few resistors which have obviously been severely overheated connected to it. I thought bridge rectifier, but I usually see those connected on 1,3,4,and 6 with the unused pin positions unoccupied.

Thanks
Ed

Can you post a photo? 6 pin sounds like optocoupler.

Optocoupler was my second guess.

Seems to be optotriac, here is what I found about 01S63A. Should be similar to very common MOC3021.
