Help finding correct LDO
« on: February 02, 2019, 02:26:38 pm »
Hi,
I repairing a board without the schematic. the problem is an LDO but I can't identify it.
what I know for sure:

3.3V out (it's used to power up a reverb microprocessor that works at 3.3V)
>12V input
the package is like a SOT223 but smaller (body 4mm x 2mm  SOT89??) and the pinout is:
1- Vout
2- gnd
3- vin
tab gnd

I can read only BA mark on top, the rest is blown up

can someone help me?
thanks

There are a lot of linear regulators that could meet the specs. At 12V IN -> 3.3V OUT it doesn't have to be a LDO. For example L78L33ABUTR

If you had attached a photo, it's likely that other people would easily recognize it.
