Help ID SMD chip from the 80's - DB 139?
« on: October 30, 2022, 03:24:28 pm »
I've got a PSU from a IBM 5160 I'm trying to repair. There does not seem to be  schematic so I'm  reverse engineering it.

The PSU has a daughter board on in which I think checks for overvoltage / excess current  etc and then shuts down the PSU.

There is a SMD chip (Yes, this surprised me - the PSU is from the early 80's) with the identifiers:
DB 139
334

14 pin

The chip is manufactured by  Thomson CSF

Could they be quad comparators? AKA LM139

This is the most complete electronics logo list I'm aware of.
It will look like crap if using mobile, enable "Computer View".

I think I've tracked it down.  It's a TDB0139.
The LM139 / 339 is supposed to be the equiivalent, which is a quad comparitor.
