Can someone help me identify what this is. I'm guessing it's a fuse. It's markings are SE7 049
-
Yep, it's a thermal fuse.
-
Thank you!
Is there anyway to check it's value? There's no markings on the unit. Also, the box it was in caught on fire and the fuse is covered in soot.
-
"049" could be a YWW (Year/Week) date code. Comparing it against the markings on other components should help to confirm this.
-
Based on the size I'd guess its max current is roughly 1-3 A. And ESKA's E series (similar package) has also a one digit identifier for the temperature (E 7: 150 °C).
-
It provides circuit protection for a 277 V AC light. Is 1 - 3 amps too low?
-
How much current does the light need?
-
Looks like the ballast the drives the LEDs needs 630 mA. So I guess 1 - 3 amps would work!

If the blue disc-shaped components are MOVs then the thermal fuse should be their thermal protection. So 2-3A and 125 or 150°C might be fine. Also replace the MOVs in case they look too smoked.

Yes! Ordering new MOVs too, thank you! Pretty much everything but the PCB will be replaced.
