Help identify component
« on: May 27, 2020, 09:00:51 pm »
Hi!

The 3 pin device 817A is one of two located on a small pcb in a plastic housing with a thumb wheel. Very close to these two 817A is a tiny magnet which is rotated by the thumb wheel. Guess, but I am not sure, that it is controlling a proportional valve in an excavator. Anyone out there seen it or know what it is?

The magnet was the clue that the device was a Hall Effect sensor.
