Help identifying 1206 SMD polyswitch? (Resolved)
« on: February 29, 2020, 02:09:29 pm »
Can anyone please help identify the following 1206 SMD component?

The component name on the PCB is "R25" so it is almost certainly a resistor (correction: following @daqq observation, this is actually almost certainly a polyswitch!). However, I have never seen such a code before.
Also, is the first letter a lowercase "a" or the Greek letter alpha?

Looks more like an SMD polyswitch.
Believe it or not, pointy haired people do exist!

Some digging in Alibaba yielded the following match:
A polyswitch (thanks @dqqq) made by JDTFUSE in China. 0.75A, 6V Part #ASMD1206-075.

Circuit measurement seems to agree with a maximum current draw of 0.6A.
