Help identifying a component - CCH 531
« on: March 19, 2023, 12:05:12 am »
Hello,

I am currently trying to find what a dead component is, as the name is just a code and I can't figure it out.

CCH (with a line above the letters) followed by 531.

It provides BIOS with its voltage, 1.8V. See attached pictures to better understand. The board is a modern AM4. Something blew and took with it this CCH, and some multiplexer chips (ASM1480).
Measurements were taken with the baord without CPU (it wouldn't power on as the bios is missing and can't go on)/RAM... nothing in the slots either.
Powers on without a cpu, won't if installed, typical behaviour I already had with other mobos from the same vendor
I can't explain the 0.02V, take it for what it is.

I'm not a tech savvy, just an amateur (very amateur) trying to repair as much as possible.

Thanks for ny help,

Nexxen.

A thick line is a feature of Monolithic Power ICs.

"531" could be a YWW (Year/Week) date code.
