Help identifying audio amplifier IC's
« on: February 22, 2021, 02:52:37 pm »
Hi all,
I've been messing around with an old portable iphone doc (Logitech Pure-Fi Express Plus) that doen't plays any audio from the aux input, only scratch when i move the power jack and i don't know some of the IC's. I think the one that is repeated is an OP amp (D4558) and the other a dig pot for the volume control (N1A46J0R).
This speaker uses a TDA7491LP for the audio amplification. Any help would be fantastic.
Thank you.

Check the power supply and then follow the audio signal, starting at the aux input.

I checked the ics supplies and in one of the supposed op amps is half (arround 5v or less).

That dirt looks like cloth fibers or dust.

The D4558 is a dual op amp. The manufacturer is Silicore (CHMC).

Thank you a lot!  ;D
Do you think D4558 could be replaceable with the LM1458? I still have to double check but seems to have one of them bad.

I suspect it is a general purpose op amp, so I would think an LM1458 would be OK.

It's probably a 4558 type opamp so a notch above 1458. Try to find RC4558, NJM4558, BA4558, something of that sort.

The model number of volume control IC is FM62429, not N1A46J0R.
