Help identifying component.
« on: March 12, 2020, 11:52:36 pm »
I'm busy trying to repair a 5V/12V/-12V SMPS and need help identifying one of the components. I'm fairly sure its a TL431 but that's just a guess.

Its used on the output section of the PSU and looks like provides some feedback for the 5V tail.  The center pin is connected to ground which makes me think its a TL431.   Pin 1 is connected to 5V via a resistor divider, and pin 3 looks like it driving a opto-coupler.

Does anyone recognise this? Is the S the logo of the company? My google skills are failing me on the manufacturer. Also can't find any transistor called CZ050 hence me guess at a TL431.

Almost certainly a '431, especially given the description of how it's connected.

Thanks. Thought as much.

I replaced it  with a working TL431 and its fixed the issue.
