Help Identifying Resistor type
« on: May 24, 2023, 09:37:59 pm »
Hi, I trying to repair a control board for a vending machine Vendo brand, the board came with a short circuit in the main power supply. I removed these components and the short circuit disappeared. At first glance, they look like resistors, but I believe they function as a fuse. Can someone help me identify these components with commercial name? Greetings.

Looks like 0.5 Ohm resistor. You would need to provide dimensions to tell the exact package type.

It would be strange if they are used as a fuse. It is more likely that they are used as a current sensor, and they passed a bit more current that they are designed to handle.

even removed    your short circuit is still / could be there ....  you should  check   before putting new resistors, they may break again .....
