Alcatel power supply identification
« on: March 04, 2021, 05:37:02 pm »
Hello guys,

I have a pcb here given by one of my friends and hw did not know what it was but he knew I like electrical stuff.

I took a look at the PCB and it seems it is a power supply made by alcatel but I was not able to find any information about it.

On the label there is a 45V 5.3A DC sign but as I said, I do not know anything about it.

If there is any info on how I can get this thing wired and maybe use it with an rd6006 power supplie interface, that would be grate.

Thanks!

48V DC is most likely the input voltage (typical for telco devices).

Maybe you could check the voltage rating of the
capacitors, if some are 400-450V, then maybe?

Ohh, yep, I forgot about the input caps and so, there is no 400v caps and also there is no ac to dc rectifier.

In fact, the symbol Unicode (U+2393) indicates that the power supply must be DC.

I agree that 48V DC must be the input rating. Components and layout dont at all make sense for an AC power supply.

As for the output voltages, it looks like there might be several. Probably 12V, 5V, etc.
