Help identifying SMD from Samsung microwave control panel
« on: June 30, 2019, 11:22:54 am »
I had a cockroach manage to crawl in behind the control panel of the microwave and blow out the board.

I figured rather than send it to e-waste if I can identify the blown component I may as well have a crack at repairing it.

Unfortunately all the ICs and SMD components appear to have their numbers and information removed, the only identifying information I can find near the affected components are PC 01 & PC 02.

Pictures attached below

Some kind of optocoupler maybe .

and you still want to use that microwave?

 :-X

there is vaporized roach guts everywhere etc. utterly disgusting.

good thing the blood of that cock roach recharges my energy to hold off on building more circuits till I can get tight chassis design manufacturing capability.  ;D

no exposed conductors on working circuits

I agree that they're both optocouplers. PC01 appears to be providing voltage feedback for the DC power supply, while PC02 appears to be sensing the AC mains cycles, possibly for the RTC.

That makes sense, I did consider that PC may have stood for Photocoupler and it does appear to bridge the high side with the logic side.

That said, this still may be in vain as I have no ifea the electrical characteristics of the original parts.

Can you see a part number if you scrape away the conformal coating?
