I don't recognize this part, it is in series with a x4 AA battery pack.
I assume it some sort of protection.

And once Identified, please explain what the numbers mean and how to read and calculate the part. I see a 4 then a f. the last digit looks like an L with a F sitting inside of it

Awesome, thanks a ton Y'all. Didnt know that wa a fuse. Know what a SMD fuse is, but didnt know this was one. Should have been obvious with the way its in series.

Dont see a way to close this thread as complete either.

Thank you for the information.
Id edit and say solved so people can know that there is an answer. so they can know to look here and not waste time.

I like the idea of not closing the thread. There has been many times in the past where I want to comment on a solved thread for further information.
