I am am repairing the controller board for my treadmill. The design is old and fairly simple (its an old simple treadmill) with what appears to be a PWM  controller and a Mosfet chopper circuit fed from a UTC3843 pwm controller chip from the panel.

The board died with a flash and a loud bang and the PCB Fuse vaporised but did not bloe the 13 amp plug or house MCB or RCD.

The mains bridge rectifier and Mosfet  are short, and flyback diode is open circuit.

The input rectifier (GBJ1512) is available but I have failed to find the Mosfet (JCS18N50WH) but a 22N60 appears similar with a slightly higher current rating, but  can't find a data sheet for the flyback diode which is an MUR1070 made by WXDH in China. Plenty of other MURs and WXDH have a website but no MUR1070. Its a single diode in a TO-220 package and looks like its rated at 5 amps ish. I have tried WXDH, Google and a couple of cross reference sites but no joy.

The motor runs at 230v 3.5A 600w. Does this need to be a Schottky device and can anyone help me with a suitable replacement part number/spec?

Thanks,

Thank you. This seems to be a fast recovery diode - something entirely new  to me, but i am sure that one of the component suppliers will come up with something suitable.
