Help on notebook SMPS repair
« on: September 11, 2016, 02:03:35 pm »
Hi friends,
my notebook power supply died (no output).
Fuse, bridge rectifier, transformer and capacitors are ok.

This one seems fine , too (Vgs>0, no resistance between drain and source).

I doubt on this:
SBT100-16    http://www.mouser.com/catalog/specsheets/onsemiconductor_SBT100-16LS.pdf
My 87V measured a forward voltage of 0.175V (while the datasheet indicates 0.82 to 0.88V)

What do you think?

Otherwise I have to check the small SMD resistors and caps on the back side of the board.
