Hello fellow community,

a few days ago i got given a (Toshiba Qosmios x70-B-102) and wanted to repair it, because it has good specs and i hope i can fix it.
The Laptop is turning on and the keyboard is lighting up too, when i press the power button. The screen stays black, i replaced everything on the laptop to diagnose what the problem is and had no luck.
Then i checked the components on the board which are getting maybe hot and others cold, when i checked every component i noticed that the CPU gets extremly hot (i burned myself on the heat pipe).
The coils next to the CPU are getting extremly hot, the VRM's too.

Then i checked the GPU Coil's and VRM's, and these are handwarm and it stays like this.
I hope someone can help me to fix my laptop.

Then i checked on mouser if these VRM'S are available.
1 =FDMS7692 (available)
2 =FDMS0306AS (available)
3 =FDE35BE 22CF 100D (Found Nothing)
4 =FDE35BE 22CF 100D (Found Nothing)
5 =FDE35BE 22CF 100D (Found Nothing)

i attached a picture to the topic.

Just to verify, you're aware that you need to press a specific key combo in order for it to output to external display, right?
Also, have you tried a different RAM (memory) module? Tried replacing the CMOS battery (CR2032)? Tried powering it up with both direct wall power & the battery? Tried removing the battery?

Yes i pressed F4 for external output but no luck, I also tried different ram modules, i replaced the CMOS battery with a new one, Im just powering it up from the wall bc the battery was not included.

Actually, it's F5 on most Toshiba's, and you're not supose to press it standalone (but press FN+F Key) so I'd suggest you give it a go.

Well, you could try leaving the CMOS battery out for 2 hours (with the AC adapter unplugged of course), this will clear it, which may help. Also, while it could be a motherboard component level failure, it could also be something wrong with the AC adapter (maybe it's not providing enough voltage, or current) so I'd suggest you rule that out first. Do you have another one you could try (with the same voltage, equal or higher amps, and the same sized DC jack?? Do you have a bench 30V power supply?

Im gonna put the cmos battery out and test it in 2hours again, i fully tested the power supply it gives me 19.5V, and it gives me full 6Amps, so the power supply is good.
