Flex cable repair, how to rejoin a broken flexible ribbon cable

Hi, I have been stuck on repairing my broken flex cable in my camcorder for ages, but yesterday managed to rejoin the 4 broken wires in a flex cable.  I also made a video as I seem to see quite a few people with the same problem and thought that this might help:
