Title: Help requested identifying toaster timer / controller chip

Here is the schematic for a toaster I am trying to repair. The chip is clearly Functionally similar to the Pericom PT8A2511 (and the many other similar chips sold under different numbers), however, the pinout is different.

The chip is unmarked and I just don't understand why this one toaster should be using a chip that has a pinout different from the "standard" toaster controller.

Does anyone have any ideas on what it might be please? I have searched for toaster controller chips but not turned up anything that matches this.

The schematic is laid out similar to the one in the Pericom datasheet so both the similarities and differences should be apparent to anyone familiar with that.

The Vdd and Vss pins are consistent with a PIC microcontroller.
