Help to ID component
« on: August 23, 2024, 02:18:23 am »
Good day,

I'm asking help to identify a fried component. This board is a controller for an automotive (school bus) exterior video camera system. Sold by Rosco Vision in the US as Safe-T-Scope 360, the board is "omniVUE" made by image-Next in South Korea (now named Beyond_i).

The board has no power or signal outputs (ie, mostly dead). It looks to have gotten some water on it - some corrosion here and there and it has blown the ass out of some kind of power IC?. The component U2 has "ACB4UB" on it. Unable to find a datasheet on it (sigh- my Google-foo is weak :-[ )

The controller is made of unobtainium. It's only a year or two old but the bus dealer and Rosco say that they can't get enough new parts to supply new bus manufacturing, so forget about service replacements.

So any help figuring out what this part is would be appreciated.

thanks

Looks like it might be a SY8083PFCC DC-DC converter IC. As per the datasheet attached:

Top Mark: ACBxyz (device code: ACB, x=year code, y=week code, z= lot number code
