Help to turn on the Tektronix THS3014 Scope

Please help, here I have a Tektronix THS3014, I bought it from a local online site in my country, but the unit is without Adapter/Charger and battery included.
I tried turning it on by plugging in the supply voltage from the Lab Bench Power Supply, using the appropriate voltage from the 18V Tektronix charger and my current was set to exactly 840mA.

However, when I press the on the button once on the front panel, there is no reaction. I have tried pressing it for a few seconds but there is no response either. I see that no current is entering the scope.

what I'm asking is whether to turn on this Scope you have to use the default charger?

Or when turning on there must be a battery installed?

Or is there another way to turn on this scope?

Because I don't have both, the charger and the original battery.

if it's ensured to be supplied with the specific rating demanded, 18V , etc, simply the device is faulty

Open it up, test any should-be connected line is connected by MM continuity
cold solder join ie. not 100% firmed one is possible, the most fundamental  rule:

Every tool not 100% clean and clear out of any matter not supposed to be as its part, is subjected to be faulty

So clean it up completely first place then test/check if it works, if persists bring the schematic and reference manualup here
