Hello

I've been 'given' an old Vox Supertwin amplifier made in the early 1980's to to see if it can be repaired.

The transformer has failed, I can tell on account of the smoke that comes out when its plugged in. So I'm looking for a replacement transformer, and I don't normally do mains voltage stuff.

On the circuit diagram the transformer output is shown as being 30V at 1A: https://www.korguk.com/voxcircuits/circuits/suprtwin.jpg

Searching around I found this: Vigortronix VTX-126-050-215 Chassis Transformer 230V 50VA 15V+15V: https://www.rapidonline.com/Catalogue/Product/88-3931

Am I right I thinking I can connect the outputs in series to get the required 30V?
And is this the right transformer to get regarding power? - I worked out the needed VA by the following: 1A * 30V = 30VA

Thanks
Karl.

Remember to get the winding polarity correct or you won't get output.
