IFR 8000 Spectrum Analyzer
« on: April 05, 2024, 09:26:36 am »
Hi, I need help with my IFR 8000 Spectrum Analyzer.

Symptom: The keyboard does not respond to any commands,
1) I checked the power supplies and they are OK
2) I disassembled the keyboard, cleaned the keys and they are OK
3) I checked the flat cable and it is OK
4) I changed the C-Mos Battery on the CPU board
only the encoder that acts on the frequency setting works.

Some advice ?
Thanks in advance.
Maurizio

If any PLL is unlocked the keyboard will appear dead. Are any of the Red LED PLL fault lights lit?

Hi,
I don't know where the red LEDs of the PLLs are located,
I haven't found any documentation for this analyzer.
Can you give me some suggestions?
They tell me there is a procedure to follow when changing the backup battery.
I do not know her.

I am not sure about the A-8000, but on A-7550, which is almost identical, you need to perform a reset procedure after the battery replacement. The procedure is explained in the attached image.

Hi Korlatos,
unfortunately, the procedure you indicated for restoring Boot doesn't work.  |O
