(Resolved) Help with KSGER t12 soldering station
« on: January 11, 2024, 03:01:53 am »
Hi all, just wondering if anyone knows the problem with my unit, I was using it yesterday, now when I turn it on, it just comes on and off in a loop?

Remove the handle, the T12 cartridge might have shorted internally.
If the 24V from the PSU are stable, check the 3.3V regulator, they're known to run hot and fail sometimes.

Thankyou, yes when I unplug the handle from the unit it becomes stable, so I’ll check the 3.3v regulator.

Then it's not the 3.3v regulator!
Insert the handle with no tip to make sure the wiring is ok, then try other tip.
Measure the current tip resistance, should be about 8 ohms.
