Hello everyone.
I got an used Sony Mini HiFi component HCD-H1600. It has some issues, the most important one is that you can hear a hiss on the left channel, that's audible both wearing headphones, or though the speakers.
You can hear this hiss, even when the volume is at its lowest settings.
I've download the service manual from here (https://elektrotanya.com/sony_hcd-h1600_sm.pdf/download.html).
I'm not sure what to check, because I'm not an expert on electronics, or in these type of equipment. Maybe someone here can point me on what to check. I think the problem might be on IC205 (I hope not).
The device has some other issues. I don't think they are related, but I'll list them just in case:
- Bars Graphic EQ are not properly responding to sound. Some time they get frozen.
- CD player tray does not go out.
Anyway, I don't think they are related to the hiss problem, but just in cause. The hiss is not really that bad when you there's some sound playing, but I'd like to try and remove it anyway.
Have a great 2018! ;D
