Hello,
Recently I bought a Hitachi ED-PJ32 projector. About 5-7 minutes after start-up, the LAMP and TEMP indicators alternatively blink red. The fan revs up, yet it continues operating. Based off of the service manual (which is attached below), this error occurs when the projector becomes over-cooled (Pg. 27). Yet, it has never been in temperatures under 70 o F (21o C) since I've bought it. Based off of what I've read in the service manual, this issue seems to be related to two thermistors. The one hooked up to port E301 is a 10KOhm thermistor (Likely a standard NTC one); the one hooked up to port E302 is a 1KOhm thermistor (in which I have no idea what kind it is) (Pg. 57). The 10KOhm one seems in range, based off of what I've found online using Google. I have no idea about the 1KOhm one. The thermistors in the part list (Pg. 41) seem to be unidentifiable, since custom part names are used. I'm not sure where to go next. I've tried playing around with the 1KOhm thermistor, but it has led me nowhere. The same error occurs. Is there anything I should look at that I'm not noticing within the schematics or repair manual? Are there any tips that can help lead me to the right place?
