I have a Hitachi V-423 scope that I made a horrible decision with and lent it to a "friend". When he returned it, I guess it had fallen off a bench or something and he busted the Channel 2 var knob off of the Volts/div selector. And the knob on Channel 1 looks bent.

At least the thing still works normally...
Now I'm trying to determine the feasibility of repairing this thing. I've been watching ebay for a dead unit hoping to pull parts, but the only ones on there are working ones (figures!) and I don't want to shell out about $180 to get this fixed. I'm purchasing a Rigol MSO2072A tomorrow, but would like to keep the Hitachi around.
I haven't pulled it apart yet, I'm hoping to do that later tonight after getting the kiddos to bed. I'm hoping that I can find a number on the selector and try to get a replacement but I'm not holding my breath.
Does anyone have any idea where I might be able to source some parts for this?
