Title: Home made power supply restoration... In memory of my dad
Post by: tchiwam on May 07, 2021, 06:27:41 pm
I remember when my dad was building it.

By the number of holes in the case, this was repurposed a couple of times since the early 80s.

Still works. The TO3 don't have much writing on them so making the schematic of it might be a bit hard.

The volt meter is pretty much right on the money...

It's a shame to see so much unused space.  A bigger transformer, for instance, or more filtering maybe.

I agree. I know the 2nd hole was for a current limit. So I was thinking to add that part of the circuit.

The shunt is just a wire running around the Amp meter...

Floating negative would be fun too...

Cleaned it a little more and replaced the power cord.

The transformer is a Basler something, I need to check the rating.

Edit away stupid autocorrect...
