Try booting the computer without the RAM installed.
If it still doesn't POST (You see the BIOS settings or text/menu on screen You should hear some beep codes if it POSTs without RAM), then you have other problems and the RAM status is unknown.
If it POST beeps, with the RAM removed, then install one of the sticks and try again. etc...

The BIOS might have an option to test memory/ddr before boot - set this to "ON". Be sure to set the memory timing option to "BY SPD

Memtest is good.
However it only works, If the computer is POSTing - yours isn't, so the problems lie deeper.
Try with a single module, try both slots. Maybe only one module is dead, dead sockets happen, too.

Are you sure the laptop itself is broken - could the charger/PSU have died?

so you may ask me wether the laptop works?, answer is no, as i connected a 4gb ram from another laptop. but you may ask me, why can't you connect it to that laptop? but the answer is no because that laptop needs atleast 4gb ram to turn on and it has only one slot!

If your laptop doesn't work using the RAM from the other laptop, why do you think there is a problem with the original RAM?

Just a sidenote.
We are selling 2GB modules (used) for about 2EUR each. The demand is next to zero. I actually might sell them as scrap. So if you are unsure if they are working, it's not a huge loss to just throw them away.

Are you sure your laptop is fine?

no practical way using a DMM except if the VCC of the chip is shorted. just buy the second-hand item with at least 24h warranty to test or bring the laptop to the shop and test the RAM
