Hi,

I toasted a little bit my multi-meter Aneng Q1.  :-// :palm:
I wanted to measure voltage, but my gadget was in current measuring mode (10A).
I short circuited 3A 48v charger.

I didn't notice the issue right away, because it didn't broke completely.
It stuck in current mode. It reacts on buttons, but I cannot choose voltage mode, because current/voltage is guided by
which port has write in.

So I have a hope that fix is not hard and I am fix it myself, but I don't have enough information about method for detecting where wire is plugged in.

What elements on PCB should I check first in this case?

Thanks

Multimeters that sense the probes being connected usually have split contacts in the 4mm sockets instead of a single contact.  Inserting the probe connector shorts the two contacts together.

Presumably your 3A charger was not current limited and has blown the 10A fuse.

Obtain MM else, open Aneng MM up at rotary switch to find continuity of V, I after replacing fuse
check others short connections

That model doesn’t have a rotary switch.

I've had the same issue.

Check the two N-Channel Mosfets "A6SHB" (SI2306) at Q4 and Q5. I've replaced both and it works again.
