HP 1220A - Repair Advice or resources?

I have not posted onto a forum in quite a long time, so please forgive me if this sounds awkward.

I have an HP 1220A without any probes, I only have the wall adapter.

I plugged it in, nothing displays on the screen no matter which buttons I have pressed or knobs I have turned, no beam or anything. I believe the power unit is faulty and I was wondering if anyone can help me confirm my hypothesis. Using my multimeter I tried to check for voltage across multiple resistors, diodes, and two pins(one labeled 12v- and another 12v+). I didn't get any read outs. I tested continuity on the wall adapter and it seems to work fine, the fuse also is still continuous.

If any more information is needed, I would be happy to provide photos and readings, or clarifications.

What wall adapter?  The 1220A runs directly from 120 V power line I believe.  Is there a power pilot lamp?  How about graticule illumination?  Do you measure some continuity across the line voltage plug?

Read the manual.  It tells you how to set up the unit.
