Disconnecting small connectors

Hello,
Could anyone tell me how to release the flex printed cable from the two connectors in the pics below. I am familiar with the other connectors on this PCB that have a 'lift-up bar', but am unclear with these two. Before I start pulling and tugging I thought I would ask !
The flex cables are from the lens unit in a Fuji F770EXR. It appears to have grit in the telescoping lens system and the lens protective shutter does not open all the way-  but the owner sprayed WD40 down the lens to try to rectify the fault.
No-one told me that retirement would be like this !

I'm fairly sure the horizontal one in the middle picture works by disengaging the "ears" at each end of the grey bit outward from the pegs on the white bit, and sliding the grey bit a few millimeters horizontally away from the white bit along the flex connector.  Not sufficiently sure about the other picture to comment.

Thanks for that, RCH. I did try to gently pry the latching tabs and push the grey bit away from the white part but it was reluctant to move.
The white connector is a bit of a mystery.
I will delay in case any one else has any experience of these types.
I suspect that the lens unit is beyond economical recovery actually, but did say that I would 'have a look'.

OK, the white connector- the end of the flex is more rigid and it just pulls out with the aid of long-nosed pliers.
I am still struggling with the other connector.

You'll have to see if anyone else recognises the other connector, or if there is any similar bit wedging the flex that can be pulled out.

I am the Enlightened One-
The black and white connector is released by lifting the WHITE part of the assembly. This is the part furthest from the flex ribbon.
I have not seen this type before, as I have only experienced a similar looking type where the part nearest to the ribbon lifts up to release the ribbon.
Strange really, as two other connectors on the same small PCB are black and white but operate in the opposite way.
These things are sent to try us...
