HP 3585B Display Replacement
« on: April 12, 2019, 08:49:54 am »
The display in our old trusty 3585B is slowly fading away and we aren't ready to say goodbye to it. What options do we have to save the patient? I was looking at CRT tubes on ebay but they are mostly in unknown condition. Is there any way to do LCD conversion as on some of Tektronix scopes or maybe a good way to stream data via GPIB?

It has rear panel X, Y, Z outputs that can be used to duplicate the display on an oscilloscope.  With a little engineering, the CRT can be replaced with an LCD.
