Fluke 375fc
« on: May 09, 2026, 05:11:06 pm »
Hi, I have a clamp that doesnt measure fine. I think the problem is the resistor R3, which I supose It IS an high voltaje resistor, but dont know how to Locate the replace part. Does anyone know the value, where to get It or get a solution for this issue?
Thanks

Greetings Sr. Roble:

I have looked to locate the documentation on those meters and have not been able to find the schematic. That as it may be, don't mind me asking why you're suspecting that resistor?

I haven't seen a resistor go bad in quality meters like that Fluke: I'm not saying it doesn't happen just usually it is obvious. That meter does handle a high voltage so yes, it is likely to have isolating circuits.
Now I am seriously without any reference here but I would bet that resistor is a very high impedance device in order to get signals down to where the meter can work with them.

What DOES work on the meter?

TY

Greetings Mr BCRADIO, Thanks for reply.
Nothing works fine on the meter. if you try to mesure AC or DC voltage the value is very mutch lower. While I was searching the resistor´s value I found this video in youtube https://youtu.be/tHVt4Rtvobk?si=-_AIZ-D2dGZeiAdB That describe the same problen. There are three video. In the las one the man says the resistor is 1Mohms but i want to be sure. The resistor is open and it has the same marks that in the video. I thinf that other models have the same resistor, as 374 and 376, or the meter where take out the resistor to repair it.
Thank you anyway.

Hi Mr BC RADIO, I´ve tried a 1Moh resistor and now I can measure resistors, but lower than51k aprox, is the greatest value i get mesure, the 68k was imposible. I think the DC volt are ok, but my power supply is 30v max. The AC volt measures a greater value than real and its not fixed. I tested 380v AC and the values were bettween 630 qnd 680v aprox. I hope you can help me with that new information.
Thanks.

This resistor is 1Mohm.
I think only a 3W 1Mohm resistor would fit in that area.
Since the resistor has changed, you might need adjustment calibration.
