Salee Logic 8: Can someone please take a voltage reading here

Hi,

If anyone out there also has a Salee Logic 8 would it be too much to ask for a voltage reading here?
Trying to repair a faulty one.

Also if anyone can identify this IC that would be cool too.
It's a 5 ball BGA and probably a switch-mode voltage reg.
Marking looks like is  Line1= 31 Line2= K

I've got a pro 8. It's not quite the same, but it does appear to have something very similar - see ttt's pictures at

Seems like a regulator towards bottom right, just below the flash chip. Mine has markings   Line1=33  Line2= .c
If you can work out which point is the equivalent, I'll measure that.

Also - have you contacted Saleae ? I don't know what their repair policy is but I've always found them incredibly helpful. They might just replace it for you.  Of course, that's not as satisfying as repairing it yourself .

but I might as well try to fix this old one though.

I have the original, probably the first few months they were available. I don't remember it being called an "eight" back then. The covers shows a picture of a chip, "logic," and the company website.

If you think it's the same model you have, I will see about getting it open. I thought I had my hex bit game in order, but these hex heads are smaller than anything I have.

Salee had shipped me a replacement a few days ago (because they are just that awesome)

This morning the replacement arrived and they asked for the dead one back, which is totally understandable.
So there's no longer a need to attempt repair on the dead one.
