Does anybody know where I can get a readable copy of an HP-8569 operating and service manual??

The online copies I have seen are garbage to put it nicely.

Found a few Sue from the links in the repair board sticky but can I ask is it a 8569, or A or B you're looking for ?

OK. To help narrow down a different copy than those you've seen, what was the size (Mb) of the not so good ones you've looked at ? That would otherwise have me downloading and checking each one  so better you do that.

The one from the HP archive which is 33 or so MB is unreadable in many of the schematic pages...That copy seems to be all over the net...
The operating manual is not a problem since it doesn't contain any of the service information. I have good copy of the operating manual.

Artek has it, for $17,50.
Isn't exactly cheap, but in some cases, I rather pay a little bit than be without any (usable) service manual.
And their manuals are mostly excellent quality.

I am not adverse to paying for a decent copy of the manual.

Yep, most of them are that 34 Mb file and they look quite OK for a scan except a section of diagrams in the middle of the pdf that are unreadable.

This Operation manual isn't bad...
I am about to enter a repair mode so that won't be much help...
