Some Samsung  toner brand have 2 pins, but it's an resistor hidden inside,   this resistor is blown making you think the toner is out of service / many printed pages ...

worth to check

The HP 125A cartridges use a 1 wire communication not a fuse resistor.

The original HP chips seem to be black blob type, I came across a chip on my refurbished black cartridge that had a few more components to look at but was not able to identify the I.C. used.

I've tried communicating with the "chip" using my universal programmer with the DS2431 protocol without luck.

The simplest solution would be to order a set of new chips, refill your toner so the page count makes sense, they'll come identified by colour.

Edit: Attached photos.
"IOP" is for In/Out pin  ;)
Captures are those of communication between printer and cartridge.

What are their part numbers?

When I unbury my colour MFC I may go to the trouble of pulling the chips to check their numbers if that can help.

Here are the codes on the original HP toner chips I have:
Yellow: AAP014S
Magenta: B37043S
Cyan: A9F042S

I'm not sure this is going to help much...

I have 2 cheap black cartridges, codes don't follow the HP scheme.

You could place the chips on the cartridges randomly, test cartridge combinations in printer until it stops grumbling about them being swapped.
Once it will allow you to print, output a test page to determine how the chips need swapping back.
