I have an HP 1660ES logic analyzer.
I made a big blunder and erased the ROM so the unit won't boot to the application.
On startup it's asking for three files to re-flash (ROM, SYSTEM and SYS_032). It will find ROM in /SYSTEM/ROM on the hard disk but not the others.
Does anyone have the files / original floppies for this unit? (I can't find any firmware on Keysight's web page)

I think it's better to contact keysight customer support.

I tried that... "it's EOL... we can't help"

Maybe join this group.io and ask there?

Good luck.
PS Bassman59 states in this post that he has/had a HP1660ES

Yes, I did ask over on the Keysight forum and have DMed "Bassman59". Crickets so far ... but I live in hope 8-)
I **think** the files I need are on the hard disk (that I've imaged). Its in an odd vxworks format that I can't mount. There's a Linux driver on Github (https://github.com/jens-maus/vxext_fs) built for Linux 2.6 kernel. If I get no other information I might spin up an older Linux release and try that driver.

I've managed to recover the unit! :phew:
It seems that the ribbon cable that connects the Ethernet hardware on the back panel to the I/O board was disconnected.
As a consequence, the software thought that there was no Ethernet and tried to flash 'system' instead of 'system.lan'.
Once I reseated the connector, the flash procedure looked for and found 'system.lan' (rather than 'system') on the hard disk and the flash succeeded.
(The HP1660E series all came with Ethernet. I think this flash software was derived from that used on the HP1660C that did have an option (015) for Ethernet/LAN.)
