HP/Agilent 6614C schematic
« on: November 11, 2023, 05:24:54 pm »
Hey all,

I've scored a damaged Agilent 6614 power supply from the electronics trash at work. It had a sticker saying "Unr" on it and indeed it showed the unregulated annunciator when it was powers on and the output was activated.
No voltage appeared at the output terminals. A short investigation showed that the Rail+ line was not there, and with the help of the service manual I found F311 to be blown.
Shorting it with the multimeter in current mode showed a current of about 150mA and the supply went back into regulation. At least for the CV mode.
The display showed a constant current (which is not running through the output terminals) and when I try to get it into CC mode it does many weird things. Showing negative output voltage, and currents that are not the ones I set.
I also found a blown cap (C375 on the A1 board), which I removed, but that did not change anything. Furthermore I tried to make sense of the control signal coming from the A2 interface board, but they are kind of all over the place.
Without a schematic I'm kinda stuck.

So does anybody have schematics for the HP/Agilent 6614C? That would be really helpful for the troubleshooting. The service manual is too vague for me to make real progress.

Thanks,
Michael
