Hello eevblog members,

I am facing a challenge with the motor control of an industrial stirring device from Janke & Kunkel. Unfortunately, I do not receive schematics from the manufacturer for this older control unit.

In my investigations, I have come across a component in the power electronics that I cannot clearly identify. It appears to be a resistor. This component has a resistance value of 0.3 ohms. The component has the color code orange, orange, gold and silver. My suspicion is that it might be a capacitor. It is located on my drafted schematic, parallel to resistor R4, and is marked with a question mark.

Could any of you assist me in identifying this component?

Thank you in advance for your help!

Best regards,
Sven

For a resistor the color rings would indicate 3.3 Ohms, but since you measured it to be 0.3 Ohms it probably is a coil or a choke of 3.3uH.

Check out the calculator.
