Identification of a voltage regulator IC
« on: July 17, 2018, 06:07:15 am »
Someone put a wrong power supply in a box seem like new because all packed well.

I plug the 12v power and nothing but when I look a little more, someone put a 12v power supply instead of 5V in the box !
Now a component has melted and I can ask to the manufacturer for retrieve the component name but not help me a lot.

Main power : 5V
Reference : LD5PA (LD = LDO voltage regulator; 5 = 5V and PA ?)
Package : SOT23 - 5 Pins

It's a step down 5v to 3.3v or only a 5v voltage regulator ?

Thank you for your help

Probably SY8088 --- input voltage 2.5 to 5.5V, smoking at 12V would seem to fit.
