Identify ic with marking F050

I need to identify an ic that has 5 pins, three on side, two on the other and has a marking F050, maybe same size as SOT23 but thicker.. This may be a voltage controller and one of the connections is to a rechargeable battery in an audio device, no circuit available.

It would help to see the part in the context of its surroundings. Then we could infer the date code, if any, and we might get a clue as to the manufacturer of the IC by determining the manufacturers of the other ICs, ie Japanese, Chinese, US.

"Voltage controller" is a vague term which could mean LDO regulator or step-down buck converter, or battery charger, etc.
